RedHotPie Australia is a very diverse hookup site, but given that the majority of members are seeking fetish hookups, group sex or specific types of relationships, it can take a lot of time to work through all the irrelevant matches to find what it is you are seeking.
Red Hot Pie dating means that you’ll find mostly swingers on the site, so if that isn’t your bag, this is not the dating site for you. Unfortunately, the site security is lax, so although you have to verify your photo and phone number when you register this is easy to circumvent, so we found a lot of fake daters and spammy contacts that take away the fun from the experience.
Australians using RedHotPie will find lots of options on registering, and we could quickly see that the RedHotPie dating app is not for singles wanting to find meaningful relationships. Most profiles are for swingers or those looking for fetish dates.
You can see a decent amount of information, but some photos are restricted so you will have to pay for an upgrade to view them; this does make us doubt whether those profiles with limited images are authentic, or whether this is a way to generate income for the site.
There are options to set questions to those you are pleased to answer, and those which you will not display, so if you’re interested in connecting with someone there is a chance you won’t be able to find out the information you’re looking for.
Search Features on RedHotPie.com.au
Redhotpie users in Australia can’t run a search as such; when you register, you need to set your preferences to include gender, age, location and preferences. There are more advanced search terms since these are very vague and non-specific, but you’ll have to pay for an upgrade to do so.
Paying members are rated higher, so if you are using a free account, you might find minimal matches coming back.
The RedHotPie website offers messaging, but this is only for paying subscription holders. If you have a free account, you are allowed to send messages, but only when you have a mutual match, so there is no way of introducing yourself or making the first contact without going through the matching system first.
Flirt is a way of sending an introduction with default text, and you can choose from cheeky, icebreakers, or to the point to display a list of available Flirt messages to send. Web chat allows you to message face to face, although you can’t send videos to one another.
Red Hot Pie Pricing
RedHotPie Australian members need to choose from four different types of premium account, which makes it very confusing! To avoid paying for something you don’t need, make sure you select the type of account that has the functions you are seeking.

With so many different pricing structures, it is complicated to work out which type of account you need to use the features you would like to, and we found this unnecessarily confusing. The pricing structure itself also makes no sense; it is cheaper to subscribe to any yearlong upgrade than it is to use any type of subscription for just a month?
That makes us cautious, about why there is such a high price for a short-term membership, so we’d recommend being careful about whether you should share payment details with RedHotPie.
The new RedHotPie dating app is free to download, although you need to be cautious about purchases on the platform, so if you try to use a payable function, you might find yourself being billed through your network provided.
In terms of layout, the platform is simple, so it’s quite easy to use, and you can download it for free through the Apple Store or Google Play.
To protect yourself from recurring billing through your iTunes or Play Store account, you will need to keep an eye on your auto-renew settings, as if you upgrade or subscribe to something on RedHotPie you will automatically be charged without further notification.
The RedHotPie app sounds like a good idea, and it does offer a platform for any non-traditional daters in Aus to connect. However, a lot of work is needed to create a good user experience, since the pricing structures make no sense, and the functionality is so restricted that you would have a hard time using the features properly until you decide to pay for an upgrade.
